Ghost Fishing Gear Retrieval Project by Andrew Polanyi
Ocean Wise Youth Andrew coordinated Shoreline Cleanups and ghost gear retrievals as part of his project. Filmed around Victoria, British Columbia, this project was funded by the Ocean Wise Ocean Action Grant.
The Ocean Action Grant is a microgrant that will provide 150 youth across Canada with up to $3000 in funding to lead an individual or collaborative project that contributes to positive change for the environment.

I ran across an interesting article on toroidal propellers, but I'm still curious how you guys think a toroidal propeller would stack up against the current submarine propeller design?, with the main benefit being lower sound levels. I'm sure the worlds navies have spent vast fortunes on submarine propeller developmen I'm not an engineer, just someone that likes reading about technology and science, along with practical applications in said fields. Too bad toroidal propellers ardn't mandatory on all ships that still use 150-year-old designs.

I’m curious to know… I was out paddling on the weekend and noticed a “string” of clear jelly with little specs within it. I didn’t have my camera but I remember the spec were orange in Color. Jelly fish were very prevalent that day in the water. Was that a string of eggs? They were all attached and didn’t look like the video here
